“We have been angry for a long time and we cannot continue to be angry forever”
By Admire Maramba
Hello Zimbabwe. My name is Admire Maramba. I am the President of the Next Generation Movement of Zimbabwe.
Welcome to our first edition of NXG Indaba series. In this column I will address you, fellow compatriots through different forums, including this one skynewszimbabwe.com, where I will be giving you updates, reports and crucial information of what has been happening within the Next Generation Movement, and of cause some significant developments in our country Zimbabwe.
I have had many mentors in my life and I have gone through the roughest ups and downs. At some point I thought I wasn’t going to make it. When I look back at what I went through I can easily deduce that God was preparing me for something.
Those that know me from my history can attest to this.
One mentor told me that you cannot anticipate different results when you carry on doing the same thing. He said to get different results try something different. As modest as that statement is, I tried something new and guess what… the results changed.
It is time to modify the game plan. No more old tactics of vehemence and fury
Since then I have never been afraid to try new things. I have learnt to do away with fear of anything. Whatever I have set my eyes to do, I have accomplished.
Fellow Zimbabweans… we have had a problem in our country and we have been endeavoring to address the problem using the same style for many years and we keep getting the same results.
We all know the results. The result is it’s nothing. No result.
In light of this brothers and sisters it is time we set ourselves new goals and new methods. It is time to modify the game plan.
On that background, this week we present to you the Next Generation Movement. No more old tactics of vehemence and fury.
We have been angry for a long time and we cannot continue to be angry forever. It is time to put a smile on our faces. It is time to love the next Zimbabwean. It is time to come together irrespective of race, language, tribe, region, religion or color and re-build the Zimbabwe we want. It is time to make Zimbabwe work again.

I urge you all to embrace the essence of forgiveness and let us all love our country and its people. If you love me you will want to see me succeed.
The same with if I love you I have to want to see your prosperity. Let us do away with games of dragging each other down. One might have victimized you in a very wicked way but certainly there are things they have done that are very noble.
The people of Zimbabwe are celebrated for being loving people. Let us endure with that legacy and show the world that Zimbabwe is no place to mess with. Together we can bring back Zimbabwe to its splendor days.
Together we can make Zimbabwe’s industry vibrant and generate jobs for millions of our people. Together we can make our health systems better and protect many lives in our country.
Together we can revive our education system and have the best education for our children. Together we can build a Zimbabwe that is free from oppression and depression.
This week marks the commencement of a great expedition for our country. We are witnessing the first stride to a stunning Zimbabwe. The journey will not always be smooth but that will not stop us. We are a generation that cannot be stopped.
When I look ahead I see a beautiful country with beautiful people. It is my dream to see that the real Zimbabwe exist in our generation. Generations to come shall remember us for re-building a spectacular republic for them.
We will always be indebted to those who laid their limbs and lives during the liberation war struggle
In conclusion, we will always be indebted to those who laid their limbs and lives during the liberation war struggle. Many remains are still unaccounted for till this day and may never be found. We admire them for a job well done.
We wouldn’t be at liberty in our own kingdom if it was not for their hard work. Nonetheless, 36 years down the line, it is time for a new generation with modernised innovations.
It is time to stop any form of bloodshed and focus on re-building. It is time to let sleeping dogs lie and look forward.
What we do today will define our future. We want a brighter future and let us do what is right today with the future in mind.
What has happened in the past has happened. We cannot change it. But the future lies in our hands.
Let us re-build Zimbabwe. That is our primary focus.
